It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Dear Friends and Family;

We are continuing to enjoy serving the Lord here in Norway.  It is still not very cold and we have had no snow.  It got about 28 deg. F last night.  I think that is the coldest it has been.  Nothing like the wild weather in Wyoming.  We went to Oslo to a Christmas conference.  It was so fun to travel with the missionaries and celebrate Christmas together.  Sister Gormley and I sang "Mary did you know" at the conference.  We had a missionary talent show.  They are hilarious. We headed north to Haugesund again this week.  We are going to be going up twice a month.  The stake called me as a councilor to the Branch President.  I look forward to serving with him.  We really enjoying the YSA. They are such fun young people and so grateful for what we do for them. We made Gingerbread houses for Family Night on Monday.  It was really fun.  Several of them are preparing to go to the temple.  We hope that all of you are enjoying the Christmas season.  We love each of you and you are a part of our lives.  Thanks for your love and prayers.

Our humble little tree.  It lights up our apartment.

Sister Gormley sang with Brother Øyvind Steffensen's band at his 50th birthday party.  We had a great time with him and his family and friends at his home.

Sister Gormley found some cute Norwegian dresses for our Granddaughters for Christmas.  This is Emily, Sophie and Claire, Kari's three youngest.  We are looking forward to more pictures.

 Fun trip with the Stavanger and Haugesund missionaries to Oslo for the Christmas conference.

We were able to see Elder Daly at the Conference.  He is headed home to Eagle, ID this week.  He is a great missionary.

We enjoy serving a breakfast to the missionaries the day before transfers.  It is a great time to get together and say our goodbye's.

Elder Johnson, on left, is headed home to Pleasant Grove, UT and Elder Steed is headed north to Bodø.  He will not see the daylight until late January.

Ward Christmas party.  Youth sang a fun Norwegian song.

On the ferry to Haugesund.  We took with us Ole and Sigurd.  It was a fun road trip.

Jan Erik and I made a log cabin for our Gingerbread house YSA activity

The Sisters got a little carried away with the frosting.

Fun Gingerbread house activity with YSA
